want to meet some icons of the interior design industry?

at design san francisco 2010, all you needed to do was 'meet and greet' the keynote speakers---renowned magazine editors, interior designers, furniture designers, and textile designers---at the book signings and receptions that followed their presentations!

margaret russell, editor in chief of ELLE DECOR, highlighted some of the magazine's most inspirational features, also shown in her latest book, Style and Substance:  The Best of ELLE DECOR, which includes chapters on inviting interiors, private spaces, and outdoor living.

'ELLE DECOR celebrates where style lives!'

bunny williams, a world renowned interior designer, author, and furniture designer, used examples from two of her books, An Affair with a House and Bunny Williams' Point of View, and her furniture collection, BeeLine Home, to illustrate how to make a house 'come alive' using key design components---floor plans; floors, walls, and ceilings; windows; furniture; color; fabrics; and lighting. A Scrapbook for Living, her new book, will be published soon!

'i fell in love with this [18th century new england] house. like all affairs, you never see the bad parts at the beginning!'

as illustrated in his book, New American Glamour, media darling jamie drake combines 'personality plus interior design' by synthesizing shine, character, and color into his interiors, his textiles for schumacher, and his furniture for lewis mittman.
